The transportation sector is critical in terms of economic activities and their commercial impact, especially under the current economic turmoil. A secure and sustainable transportation digital environment has to rely on well protected and modern facilities, secure ICT infrastructure and innovative technologies as well as trustworthy e/m- transportation services. Specifically, shipping has become an excellent alternative that is not free of risks and threats.
That is why it has been launched the Conference: “Security Challenges for Critical Information Infrastructures in the logistic chain, Special session on Securing the physical and cyber ports’ ICT systems”, that is organised under the framework of the Final Conference of the project CYSM: “Collaborative Cyber-Physical Security Management System”, lead by FEPORTS and co-funded by the “Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related Risks Programme of the European Union''. The goal of this Conference is to bring together the initiatives which have been or are being performed with regards the transportation sector paying special attention to port and maritime security and specifically to initiatives related to the protection of the digital environment.
The transportation community as well as those researchers and entities dedicated to security issues addressed to the protection of Critical Information Infrastructures applied especially to the maritime and port sector are welcome to participate in this conference.
The Conference is addressed to members of Regional and Local entities, Port Authorities through their departments of Security, safety and R+D, transportation sector companies specialized in security and Protection, researches and entities dedicated to the Protection of critical information infrastructures applied especially to the port and maritime sector.
